Planning Your Pack

We get it – packing is a pain! Sometimes just thinking about the overwhelming task of packing up every single possession you own can drive you crazy. With a little bit of planning, you can make your move a whole lot easier. It will also help you decide what you really want or need to take to your new home. This is particularly helpful when downsizing and needing to offload a lot of things.

When moving we generally we pack up room by room. We often throw miscellaneous items together in a box and moving on to the next room. But this means things can be a bit all over the place when it comes to unpacking. We all have boxes that seem to follow us from the old house, move to the next, without ever getting unpacked!

You can avoid this if you sort and pack with a clear idea of where your possessions will end up, rather than where they happen to be now. This helps to make unpacking at the other end a lot easier but is also a helpful exercise when deciding what to take and what to dispose of.

A little planning can go a long way.
